Intensive Care Unit I.C.U
The ICU is a multidisciplinary facility with advanced cardiac and respiratory life support. It cares for critical medical, cardiac and surgical cases in a sterile environment filled with natural light.
El Gouna Hospital's ICU has the latest technology, including infusion and syringe pumps, bedside monitors, defibrillators, portable X-ray machines, ventilators, monitors, and a blood gas analyser.
Surgical Department
El Gouna Hospital's surgeons, specialists and consultants are supported by modern diagnostics, operating theatres, and ICUs, to provide minor and major surgical procedures. The surgical department is also responsible for emergency services, covering all aspects of trauma and acute surgical emergencies in various disciplines. In addition, it is fully equipped to handle the latest non-invasive diagnostic and treatment procedures, including laparoscopy and endoscopy.
Diving & Hyperbaric Medicine
The Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Centre provides essential services to the diving community. The centre can treat decompression emergencies in the largest hyperbaric chamber in the Middle East. With capacity for nine patients, the chamber is also used to treat other medical conditions requiring hyperbaric oxygenation, which is proven to promote healing. Staffed by diving medicine specialists, the centre also provides pre-diving fitness checks.
Pediatric Incubator Department
El Gouna Hospital’s Pediatric Incubator Department is fully equipped and staffed to handle premature babies from 32 weeks and full-term infants who may need emergency care.
The Department of Neonatology provides complete monitoring, investigation, and medical treatment for newborns.
Hemodialysis Unit
The Hemodialysis Unit is equipped with six B-Braun machines with the most up-to-date software. They are in a luxury room with remote-controlled beds, internet and telephone connections, and audio and satellite facilities.
